Li Shoushi, female, Manchu, from Harbin. She graduated from the School of International Studies of Renmin University of China with a doctor’s degree in international relations, and post-Doctorate in media management and international communication, visiting scholar at Duke University. She is now an associate professor, School of Communication, East China Normal University; and she was an Assistant Researcher at National Image and Urban Cultural Innovation Strategy Research Base, Humanities and Arts Research Institute in Shanghai Jiaotong University from October 2014 to April 2019; A postdoctoral fellow in University International Relations and International Communication, Shanghai Jiaotong University from June 2012 to October 2014.

Research interests: Chinese national image and soft power, public diplomacy, international relations and international communication, urban governance, urban culture and urban image, cross-cultural communication and political communication.

At present, she has published more than 20 academic papers in core journals including 2 SSCI and A&HCI papers, many of which have been reproduced in full text by the National People's Congress. She undertook many provincial and departmental and Shanghai Decision-making Consultation program, some of the decision-making consultation suggestions were adopted by provincial and ministerial departments or above. She won the Second Prize of the Tenth Shanghai Decision-making Consultation Achievement in December 2015;

She has published a monograph and edited a book.

She has participated in many conferences at home and abroad and made key speeches.

Undergraduate and master courses taught: international communication and diplomatic etiquette, international communication and soft power, and an introduction to public diplomacy.

In July-August 2015, she led undergraduates to participate in the Shanghai Jiaotong University summer vacation’s research practice project, and was awarded the title of Excellent Instructor in September.
