Lin Chunfeng

Chunfeng received his PhD in Media and Communication from the Institute of Communications Research (ICR) at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2018. His research has focused on propaganda, broadly defined as dissemination of ideological messages through the news media and popular culture, especially through non-traditional media forms such as social media. His research interests lie in many areas, including critical/cultural studies of popular culture, journalism studies, media history, new media studies, and political economy of communication. His work has been published in journals such as Communication and Critical/Cultural Studies, Asian Journal of Communication, British Journal of Sociology of Education, as well as in several anthologies.
